How to grow an effective Instagram account with a very small niche?
All smart marketers follow one rule: never start a campaign without identifying your goals. So, which metrics matter on Instagram? How do you know that your brand is growing?
Some of the most common KPIs include engagement per follower, website traffic, link clicks, comments per post, Instagram Stories engagement, and hashtag usage. Before you begin, you need to figure out which goals you want to focus on.
Having a larger Instagram following can mean more sales for your business, more views on your blog, and a stronger community for your brand.
Once you have your goals laid out, you can try some or all of the strategies below
Here are 5 things that helped me grow my account.
Post Everyday
If you want to gain followers you’re going to need to post everyday. Posting regularly means people see your content more often and are therefore more likely to remember you.
You also give yourself more chances to appear in all the “top” and “trending” places such as the explore feed, hashtag top posts, and your followers’ home feed.
Follow others in your niche
The best way to do this is to find popular people in your niche from the explore section or popular hashtags and follow people who have liked their posts. These people have not only shown an interest in your niche but also act like posts, two things of interest to you, and the growth of your account.
Use Hashtags Wisely
Instagram allows you to use only 30 hashtags.
At least out of the 30 hashtags, there must be people who will find interest in one or more hashtags. So, don’t worry that you are using too much, you can even include them in the comment section so that when people start commenting, they will get buried and people will not take note of them. However, they will still be helping your post to reach more people.
Go live regularly
Live videos are a great way to land at the first position in your followers’ Story section. Live videos look candid and engage viewers for longer. For live videos, you can include interviews, product demos, and Q&A with your viewers. Just remember to have a basic script and format in hand to avoid goof ups.
Storytelling is a fantastic way to market your brand and create engaging images or videos. To have high-quality live videos you can go live from your computer.
Stories and IGTVs
Posts are your bread and butter and should be where you focus your attention. However, in my opinion, you should save them for higher quality content than stories.
Stories should be used to keep your followers up to date with what you’ve been up to in everyday life or maybe provide bonus content around your posts.
You should use them tactically too to re-expose yourself to your followers. By posting a story, you appear as a circle at the top of your followers’ home feed which will re-engage them with your account.
As a business, you have direct access to more and more people who are eager to engage with the right brands and buy from them.
There are countless IG and social media strategies and it is up to you which one will you use the most.
It depends on your niche, business followers’ demographics, etc.
